New players in performance standings

Scanning Score Card

National scanning performance for the week ending Jan. 2 was 95.64 percent, up from 95.34 percent one week earlier.

In the district rankings, Greater Indiana rose to first (97.17 percent) from seventh place the week before. Oklahoma and Baltimore rose from 12th and 28th, respectively, the previous week to finish in a virtual tie for second at 97.13 percent.

With a performance score of 96.28 percent as of Jan. 7, Southern assumed first place among the areas. Great Lakes (96.23 percent) maintained its hold on second place, while Capital Metro (96.15 percent) finished third.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps boost the Postal Service’s efficiency and strengthens the management of its network.
