New area and district leaders emerge

The national scanning score for the week ending April 17 was 96.56 percent, down from the previous week.

Here are the area and district standings, as of April 22:

  • Areas. Capital Metro ranked first with a rating of 96.86 percent. Southern (96.72) and Eastern (96.62 percent) each moved up one spot to take second and third, respectively.
  • Districts. Portland, with a rating of 97.79 percent, grabbed the top spot. Dakotas and  Central Plains finished in a virtual tie for second at 97.71 percent.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service boost efficiency and strengthen network management.
