More than 2,500 people attended a celebration of the new Special Olympics World Games stamp in Grand Junction, CO, last week.
Colorado/Wyoming District Manager Selwyn Epperson helped lead the dedication, which was part of Colorado’s Special Olympics summer games.
The Postal Service issued the stamp in May.
The Special Olympics World Games will be held July 25-Aug. 2 in Los Angeles.
Employees and customers are invited to show their support for the games by writing letters to participating athletes. The USPS Stamps blog has additional details, including letter-writing tips and mailing information.
The stamp can be purchased online and at Post Offices.
