The area and district scanning standings changed again during the week ending July 10.
With a score of 97.04 percent, Western climbed one slot to take first place among the areas. Capital Metro (96.97 percent) dropped to second, while Northeast (96.75 percent) held third place.
Sacramento (97.79 percent) once again led the districts. Sierra Coastal (97.72 percent) took second after finishing seventh the previous week. Northern New England (97.67 percent) finished third, up from 13th the previous week.
The national scanning score was 96.55 percent, up slightly from one week earlier.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
