New videos explain federal retirement program

A new series of online videos will help postal employees understand the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP).

Want to learn more about saving for retirement?

If so, the Postal Service has introduced a series of brief videos to help employees better understand the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), the federal retirement savings program.

Employees can choose from 18 three- to four-minute videos, each on a different topic. The first six videos feature titles such as “The Cost of Taking a TSP Loan” and “What Does Vesting Mean?”

“Think of this collection as your personal finance video library,” said Chief Human Resources Officer Jeff Williamson. “Many employees know TSP helps them prepare for retirement — or other financial goals — but some may not know how to take full advantage of the program. These videos will help everyone get the information they need.”

The videos are available online so employees can view them at any time, in any order.

The new financial wellness site on LiteBlue has additional information on TSP and other money management resources.
