Waterville, MN, Letter Carrier Joseph Grose was delivering to an apartment building on his route when he heard someone crying for help.
His customer had fallen in the bathroom and had been lying on the floor for several hours before Grose arrived. When Grose discovered the door was locked, he called emergency personnel and waited until the ambulance arrived.
Postmaster Margaret Jacobson later talked with the man’s sister who expressed the family’s gratitude for Grose’s quick actions.
