Southern Area VP Jo Ann Feindt will retire from the Postal Service after 37 years, effective Nov. 30. Finance and Planning VP Shaun Mossman will serve as Southern’s acting vice president and begin transitioning into the role next week.

Feindt has led the area since 2012. She previously led Great Lakes Area from 2003-2011, making her the longest-serving area vice president and the longest-tenured officer among the current corps.

Feindt’s previous assignments include South Florida District manager and senior plant manager. She joined USPS as a clerk in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in 1979.

“In every position she has held, she has been passionately committed to the people — our employees, the unions and management associations, our customers, and most especially, her team,” PMG Megan Brennan wrote in a memo this week.

Mossman has served in his current position since 2014. His responsibilities include revenue and expense budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

Mossman joined USPS as a letter carrier in Newport News, VA, in 1987. He later served as Western Area operations support manager and Nevada-Sierra District manager.
