Postal Service leaders are encouraging employees to continue their long tradition of helping others by participating in this year’s Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).

“Whenever and wherever there has been a need … postal employees have responded generously,” PMG Megan Brennan says in a new video message. “The amount of time, energy and money you’ve consistently shared with others shows how much you care.”

The CFC, the world’s largest workplace charity drive, allows federal employees to donate to more than 20,000 nonprofit organizations.

Last year, more than 79,000 Postal Service employees contributed to the CFC. This accounted for approximately 14 percent of all CFC donations throughout the federal government.

Leaders from postal labor unions and management associations also appear in the video to discuss the importance of participating.

“No matter how large or small the gift, your contribution will make a big difference to somebody who really needs it,” says Anthony Leonardi, president of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States.

This years’ CFC will continue through Dec. 15. More information is available on the CFC site on LiteBlue.
