Delivering #PostalProud

Carriers praise initiative to promote accuracy

Richland, MI, Post Office employees display #PostalProud posters.

USPS letter carriers and rural carriers are applauding the #PostalProud initiative’s emphasis on careful, accurate delivery of mail and other packages.

“I’m accountable for delivering every piece on time. That’s what #PostalProud is all about,” said Lakehurst, NJ, Letter Carrier Tracy Rosell.

#PostalProud is a new, ongoing effort to promote core USPS principles. While the initial effort focuses on delivery and customers’ experiences, #PostalProud will expand to other areas of the organization.

USPS is promoting #PostalProud through workplace postersvideos and other communications.

These messages — including reminders to never throw packages — resonate with carriers who say they take pride in doing a good job.

“Our customers need to feel comfortable knowing their items will be handled with care,” said Richland, MI, Rural Carrier Sarah Hillman. “We are out building relationships with our customers every day. We should take pride in that.”

Employees also say they appreciate #PostalProud’s focus on the importance of accurate scanning.

“Both the mailers and the customers expect quick, on-time scans with careful and accurate delivery,” said Richland Officer in Charge Ken Taylor. “If we are unable to provide this level of service, someone else will.”
