Scanning scorecard

National performance stays steady

Timely and accurate scanning is a basic customer requirement.

The Postal Service scored a 96.9 percent scanning rating during the week ending Feb. 5, virtually unchanged from one week earlier.

Western, with a rating of 97.42 percent, continued to lead the areas. Eastern (97.06 percent) rose two spots to take second, while Southern (97.03 percent) finished third. Western also ranks first in quarter-to-date and year-to-date performance.

Among the districts, Portland (97.96 percent) again finished first, Arkansas (97.85 percent) climbed three spots to claim second and Western New York (97.76 percent) finished third.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.

Scores and standings change continually. To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and use the Dashboards menu bar to select DES 2.
