The Postal Service has announced plans for several new stamps, including a pane that showcases military service medals.

Honoring Extraordinary Heroism: Service Cross Medals will consist of four stamps that highlight the Army’s Distinguished Service Cross, the Navy Cross for the Navy and Marine Corps, the Air Force Cross and the Coast Guard Cross.

The stamps will be issued in a pane of 12 at the World Stamp Show in New York City Monday, May 30, which is Memorial Day.

USPS announced the stamps this week during a conference call with philatelic news media.

Additionally, the Postal Service announced plans for Classics Forever, a souvenir sheet that features new versions of six of America’s earliest stamps, including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln.

The other new offerings include Colorful Celebrations, a booklet of 20 Forever stamps that features 10 digitally created designs of festive cut paper, and Henry James, a 3-ounce rate stamp that will be the 31st entry in the Literary Arts series.
