The new National Parks stamps are receiving widespread praise from the news media and customers.

Condé Nast Traveler declared the stamps “capture the beauty of the national parks,” while The Spokesman-Review newspaper in Washington state credited USPS with giving the parks “first-class treatment.”

A post about the new stamps was liked by more than 400 people on Facebook, where one user wrote, “I will buy the National Parks stamps as soon as available for sale. … Well done, USPS!”

Messages about the stamps were retweeted multiple times on Twitter, where hashtags such as #NPSStamps have proven popular.

The 16 stamps showcase individual parks across the nation. The stamps are part of a yearlong celebration of the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary.

PMG Megan J. Brennan dedicated the stamps June 2 at the World Stamp Show in New York City. Fourteen special dedication ceremonies also took place that day in featured parks.

Additional special dedications are expected this summer.
