USPS delivers football tickets just in time

Postal Service employees recently recovered misdelivered football tickets just in time for a West Virginia family to attend a game in Texas.

The family flew to Texas on a Friday to see a West Virginia University Mountaineers football game on Saturday, but their tickets had not arrived in the mail. Frantic, they contacted the Postal Service for help.

Scans showed the tickets had been misdelivered to a town in Ohio, so Appalachian and Northern Ohio District Consumer and Industry Affairs offices worked together to return the tickets to the family.

After the tickets were recovered in Ohio, they were sent to the family’s hotel in Texas by Priority Mail Express. The family received them just in time for the game.

“This was an excellent example of teamwork across the Appalachian, Northern Ohio and Rio Grande Districts,” said Northern Ohio Consumer and Industry Contact Manager La Vanda Fondren.
