In honor of Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day this weekend, Link invites readers to explore some of the most expressive love letters penned by the nation’s commanders in chief.

A series of articles published last year highlighted the importance of communication in Lyndon Johnson’s marriage to Lady Bird, Richard Nixon’s flirtatious notes to Pat and Harry Truman’s 1,300 letters to Bess wife during their courtship and marriage.

The three-part Link series also showcased love letters from Woodrow Wilson, Theodore Roosevelt and John Adams.
