There will be a touch of postal blue at the heart of this year’s St. Patrick’s Parade in Syracuse, NY.

Albany District Sales Executive Jeff “Coz” Costello and his friend Jerry “Bones” Roesch will serve as grand marshals. The duo run a youth basketball league they founded two decades ago.

“It’s the biggest honor that I ever could imagine,” Costello tells The Post-Standard newspaper.

The parade is Saturday, March 14.Previous grand marshals include mayors and congressional representatives.

“This is a huge honor for one of our own to receive,” says Sr. Sales Executive Patrick Howe.

Costello credits the volunteers in the league and a local athletic club that he and Roesch run.

“Behind us, there’s hundreds of guys and players and coaches and friends and everybody that helps us help the community,” Costello says.
