The national scanning score for the week ending April 17 was 96.56 percent, down from the previous week.
Here are the area and district standings, as of April 22:
- Areas. Capital Metro ranked first with a rating of 96.86 percent. Southern (96.72) and Eastern (96.62 percent) each moved up one spot to take second and third, respectively.
- Districts. Portland, with a rating of 97.79 percent, grabbed the top spot. Dakotas and Central Plains finished in a virtual tie for second at 97.71 percent.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service boost efficiency and strengthen network management.
