Capital Metro Area and Portland District once again dominated the scanning scores during the week ending May 29.
Capital Metro (96.82 percent) led the areas for the fourth consecutive week. Eastern (96.41 percent) finished second, up three spots from a week ago, while Great Lakes (96.4 percent) took third for the second straight week.
Portland (97.76 percent), which has led the districts since early March, took the top spot again. Greater Boston (97.55 percent) climbed one spot to take second, while Mid-Carolinas (97.5 percent) finished third, up from sixth.
The national scanning score was 96.23 percent, a slight dip from one week earlier.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
