New site allows employees to share sales leads, more

Business Connect
The new Business Connect Portal, which is slated to debut Aug. 3, will use Panorama software.

The Postal Service will soon introduce a site that makes it easier for employees to submit sales leads and other tips to boost revenue.

The Business Connect Portal will debut Aug. 3. It will replace the Business Connect Data Center, which went offline July 17.

The portal will allow Postmasters, customer service managers and other employees to enter leads, revenue data and other information for several sales programs, including Business Connect, Customer Connect and Rural Reach.

Although the portal will offer an improved look and feel, employees will be able to complete the same tasks they did on the old site.

“The new Business Connect portal will provide our sales force with up-to-the-minute information, allowing us to better compete for business customers,” said Small Business Sales Director Mary Anderson.

The new site, which uses Panorama software, is part of the Postal Service’s efforts to better use data and technology. Employees must request access to the site through eAccess.

Each district will hold training webinars for the portal. The main Business Connect site has additional information.
