Scanning scorecard

Western rules areas once again

Timely and accurate scanning is a basic customer requirement.

Western led the area scanning scores during the week ending Sept. 11, continuing its long winning streak.

Western scored 97.31 percent, followed by Eastern (96.77 percent), which rose two spots to finish second, and Capital Metro (96.7 percent), which finished third.

Western’s Northland District, with a rating of 97.9 percent, climbed six spots to lead its counterparts. Portland (97.85 percent) finished second, while Greater Boston (97.64 percent) climbed eight spots to finish third.

The national rating was 96.62 percent, down from one week earlier.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.

Scores and standings change continually. To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and use the Dashboards menu bar to select DES 2.
