Scanning allows customers to track their packages.

There was new movement near the top of the area and district scanning standings during the week ending Sept. 25.

While Western (97.4 percent) and Capital Metro (96.94 percent) continued to lead the areas, Great Lakes (96.69 percent) climbed one spot to take third place.

The district standings also were volatile: Portland (97.99 percent) finished first, Western New York (97.89 percent) rose two places to take second and Western Area’s Northland District (97.89 percent) finished third.

The national rating was 96.51 percent, down slightly from one week earlier.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.

Scores and standings change continually. To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and use the Dashboards menu bar to select DES 2.

Informational videos about scanning are available at USPS-TV.
