Western New York District sets pace

Timely and accurate scanning is a basic customer requirement.

Western New York District is setting the scanning pace for the nation.

The Eastern Area district posted a performance rating of 98.03 percent for the week ending Nov. 20. It was followed by Southern Area’s Arkansas District (97.87 percent) and Northeast Area’s Northern New England District (97.86 percent).

The top-scoring areas were Western (97.34 percent), Great Lakes (96.94 percent) and Eastern Area (96.81 percent).

The national scanning score was 96.87 percent, up from one week earlier.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
