Never underestimate customers’ appreciation for their local Post Office.

For example, the Crescent City, CA, Post Office was the subject of a loving tribute in the Del Norte Triplicate newspaper this week.

The column praises three retail associates: Brian Lenover, Josh Lopez and James Hester.

“I’ve lived in many a city and town, and I can say wholeheartedly I’ve never been to a Post Office with such a laughable, story-telling, cheerful group of postal clerks,” columnist Cory Mitcham wrote.

Additionally, the Clarksburg, WV, Post Office received attention from The Exponent Telegram, a local newspaper.

The article featured Retail Associate Walt McElwayne and Eastern Area Communications Program Specialist Tad Kelley, who discussed the benefits of sending holiday packages through USPS.

“We want to make sure those packages get where they are going before Christmas,” Kelley said. “There are no extra costs. We don’t have surcharges, so whether it’s delivered on Friday or Sunday, the shipping costs are the same.”
