Employees should continue to focus on providing superior customer service throughout the holidays, Consumer and Industry Affairs VP Jim Nemec says in his latest “Point of View” video.

“This is the time of year customers trust us to deliver. We must continue to honor that trust by providing the service they expect,” Nemec says.

The Postal Service expects to deliver more than 600 million packages between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, a 10.5 percent increase over same record-breaking period in 2014.

“How are we going to handle this high package volume and maintain our high standards of service? By putting the customer at the center of everything we do,” Nemec says.

He encourages employees to scan accurately, deliver on time and go “the extra mile to help customers choose the products and services they need.”

Nemec also thanks “everyone working in mail processing operations across the country. The excellent support you provide is just as critical to creating positive customer experiences.”
