Scanning scorecard

Sacramento soars seven spots among districts

Scanning
Timely and accurate scanning is a basic customer requirement.

Sacramento District led the nation in scanning scores during the week ending Dec. 4.

Sacramento (97.51 percent) surged seven spots from last week, topping the districts. It was followed by Greater Boston (97.49 percent), which rose from fifth place, and Sierra Coastal (97.39 percent), which was up from sixth.

Western (96.67 percent) once again finished first among the areas, followed by Great Lakes (96.66 percent) and Pacific (96.25 percent), which climbed two spots.

The national scanning score was 96.29 percent, down from one week earlier.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.

Scores and standings change continually. To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and use the Dashboards menu bar to select DES 2.

Informational videos about scanning are available at USPS-TV.
