The area and district scanning standings experienced changes during the week ending Dec. 11.
Great Lakes (96.85 percent) finished first, up one spot from a week earlier. Western (96.84 percent) was second, while Northeast (96.45 percent) was third.
Among the districts, Sacramento and Sierra Coastal each had a rating of 97.61 percent, followed by Greater Indiana (97.54 percent), which climbed 11 places.
The national scanning score was 96.44 percent, a slight change from last week.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
