Sprint to cut USPS service Feb. 28

Sprint update
Employees with Sprint smartphones must switch to another carrier before Sprint cuts service Feb. 28.

Sprint will drop service to Postal Service smartphones Feb. 28.

Employees with USPS-issued Sprint phones must switch to another approved carrier — such as AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile — before service is cut.

The process for switching is now underway. Employees will be contacted by their local IT teams to make carrier change requests. Additional information and instructions can be found online.

Users are advised to choose new carriers based on the best available coverage. Users may choose any of the smartphones listed for a specific carrier. Color choices will be based on each carrier’s device availability.

Once choices are made, users won’t be eligible to make other changes for 18 months.

New smartphones must be activated within 3 business days of receipt.

Employees that already have USPS-issued AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile phones must wait until after March 1 to request upgrades or carrier changes.
