Holiday consumers turned to USPS

More consumers relied on USPS during the recent holiday season, a new poll has found.

Twenty-one percent of adults said they used the Postal Service more during the holidays than in previous years, according to the survey by Rasmussen Reports.

Sixty percent of respondents said they relied on USPS as much as they did before.

The results are based on a telephone poll of 1,000 Americans nationwide after the holidays. Overall, respondents said the Postal Service did the best job handling holiday package deliveries.

The Postal Service expected to deliver 600 million packages between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve.

The Rasmussen results align with other recent polls that show the public holds the Postal Service in high esteem and rank its customer service among the best in the nation.
