Western Area, Arkansas District lead

Scanning allows customers to track their packages.

Western, with a rating of 97.52 percent, once again led the area scanning scores for the week ending Jan. 22. Great Lakes (97.14 percent) was second, followed by Southern (97.11 percent).

Arkansas, with a rating of 98.09 percent, again finished first among the districts. Western New York (97.99 percent) was second and Portland (97.87 percent) took third, rising from fifth place the previous week.

The national scanning score was 96.72 percent, down from one week earlier.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
