Several Greater Indiana District employees showed they are #PostalProud at a recent Indiana Pacers basketball game.

The district invited employees to write an essay nominating a co-worker whom they consider exemplary. Honorees were chosen based on their acts of heroism and excellent service.

During halftime, the honorees were led onto the court before a packed arena that included 200 Greater Indiana District employees and their families.

West Lafayette, IN, Retail Associate Mark Farrell was so overcome with pride, he kissed the court floor.

“I felt honored and privileged to have been chosen by my fellow workers,” Farrell said.

The #PostalProud initiative, which began last year, emphasizes core USPS principles such as treating customers with courtesy. The efforts will expand to other areas of the organization.
