Aliperto to retire March 1

Western Area VP Drew Aliperto

Western Area VP Drew Aliperto will retire from the Postal Service, effective March 1.

Aliperto has led the area since 2012. Previously, he served as Pacific Area vice president from 2009-2012.

“These are two of the most complex regions within the Postal Service, and he delivered results in both,” PMG Megan Brennan wrote in a memo this week.

His achievements include championing smarter approaches to strategic planning, implementing process improvements that have produced sustained results and reducing costs while strengthening service, the PMG wrote.

Aliperto has more than 40 years of federal service. His previous executive roles include serving as Pacific Area operations support manager and plant manager in St. Paul, MN.

He began his career as a St. Paul mail handler in 1978.

Aliperto received several awards during his career, including the Postmaster General Award.
