Pennsylvania employees safeguard mail

Cambridge Springs, PA, Letter Carrier Donald Boyd, left, and Retail Associate Robert “Terry” Gibson

When a Cambridge Springs, PA, rural carrier associate was in a car accident while delivering mail recently, two colleagues worked together to safeguard the mail.

Letter Carrier Donald Boyd drove an LLV to the scene and helped gather the mail, while Retail Associate Robert “Terry” Gibson took pictures of the mail and the vehicles.

Boyd and Gibson then returned to the Post Office, where they ensured the mail was safe and prepared it for decontamination at a nearby plant.

The rural carrier associate is recovering.
