Western Area, Arkansas District still top charts

Scanning helps USPS track packages and other mail.

Western Area and Arkansas District once again led the scanning scores during the week ending March 25.

With a score of 97.61 percent, Western maintained its hold on first place among the areas, while Great Lakes (97.25 percent) climbed one slot to take second. Eastern (97.18 percent) finished third, up one spot from a week ago.

Forty-seven districts exceeded 97 percent, beginning with Arkansas (98.22 percent). Portland (98.15 percent) again finished second, while Greater South Carolina (97.98 percent) climbed five spots to take third.

The national scanning score was 97.04 percent, down from one week earlier.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
