Kevin McAdams has been named Capital Metro Area’s acting vice president, overseeing all operations in a region with more than 16 million customers. Chief Operating Officer David Williams announced the appointment last week.

McAdams, a 38-year Postal Service veteran, succeeds Kristin Seaver, who has been appointed chief information officer.

He previously served as the area’s operations support manager. In this role, he was responsible for guiding day-to-day processing, transportation, delivery and customer service operations.

Other past assignments include serving as district manager for the Mid-Carolina, Northern Virginia, Central Pennsylvania and Baltimore districts.

Additionally, McAdams served as Postmaster in Philadelphia, where he “began building his strong foundation and proven performance in delivery operations and customer satisfaction,” Williams said.

McAdams began his career as a letter-sorting machine clerk in Van Nuys, CA. He is a graduate of the Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership Program and studied business management at the University of Phoenix.
