Customers who visit the Vancouver, WA, Post Office and see the big ball on the counter can’t help but ask, “Is that real?”

“Yes, it’s all rubber bands,” Retail Associate Connie Brown told The Columbian newspaper this week.

The ball sits in Brown’s work area and is just shy of 12 inches in diameter — and 35 inches in circumference.

It took four years to assemble and is a great conversation starter for Brown and her customers.

“Every day, people comment on it,” she said.
