Employees at the Allegany, NY, Post Office gave a special group of customers a lesson on the importance of mail last week.

Students from a nearby preschool visited the office, where Postmaster Valerie Tigh, Retail Associate Sierra Ellis and others helped them buy stamps and mail invitations for the school’s upcoming Mother’s Day festivities.

Each student purchased a stamp at the counter before receiving a tour of the Post Office led by Tigh and Ellis.

“The Postal Service is proud to encourage young mailers to write more letters and be part of Mother’s Day traditions, connecting family members with their moms,” Tigh said.
