National Internet Safety Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness of online safety, is now underway.

While the internet makes it easier for us to accomplish everyday tasks, it also provides criminals with access to personal and USPS information.

The CyberSafe at USPS team encourages employees to make online security a priority by following with these tips:

  • Make your ACE passwords complex and unique by using a combination of numbers, letters and symbols.
  • Evaluate hyperlinks and attachments embedded in emails and sites before clicking on them.
  • Before you step away from your workstation, lock your computer screen by pressing the ā€œLā€ and Windows logo keys simultaneously, and secure any hard copy documents stored at your desk.

The CyberSafe at USPS and Department of Homeland Security sites have more tips.
