The Surry, ME, Post Office has an interesting mascot — a plastic duck named Ghost Duck.

Retail Associate Sarah Nelson, who found the duck in a Halloween store, and other employees dress it in a variety of costumes to entertain customers.

He is currently dressed as a “duck ranger” in honor of the recently dedicated National Park stamps.

“He has helped customers take notice of the National Parks stamps, and they are selling very well here,” said Nelson.

Ghost Duck is also popular with neighboring Post Offices, one of which recently used him in a school presentation on stamp collecting.

“He has brought such a huge amount of entertainment and created an even stronger connection between the Surry Post Office and our customers,” said Nelson.
