USPS is continuing to encourage employees to submit nominations for the Postmaster General Safety Excellence Award.

The Postal Service is introducing the award to recognize managers, safety professionals and teams that maintain safe workplaces for employees and customers.

The award is part of ongoing efforts to foster a safety culture within USPS. These efforts also include providing safe workplaces, considering safety in all aspects of postal operations and identifying the benefits of safe practices at work and at home.

Managers, teams and individual employees must submit nominations to their area vice presidents by Aug. 1.

The vice presidents will evaluate the nominations and submit their recommendations via email to a review committee that will choose the recipients.

The Blue Safety page has more information, including nomination forms and FAQs.
