New video promotes passport services

A new Postal Service video shows how employees can help customers prepare for international travel.

The video depicts a retail associate answering two customers’ questions about USPS passport acceptance services, including accepting new and renewal applications.

The employee encourages renewing applications expiring in six months or less to avoid delays while traveling in certain countries.

Other tips include submitting applications months in advance, visiting the State Department site for processing times and using the USPS Passports site to locate offices that provide passport services.

The employee also promotes using Priority Mail, which allows customers to track the delivery status of their passport applications for free.

The Postal Bulletin’s latest issue also highlights passports and travel tips.

Additionally, USPS recently updated passport point-of-purchase promotional materials for its acceptance facilities.
