Post Offices have sold more than 10,000 PO Boxes through a national employee competition that began this month, including 1,500 boxes during the week ending July 22.

The goal of the contest is to boost box sales and reward employees for their efforts.

Offices that record the most sales qualify for weekly gift-card prize drawings. Grand prizes will be awarded to the offices that record the most sales during the four week contest, which runs through Aug. 5.

One recent winner: the Columbia Falls, MT, Post Office, where more than eight new boxes were opened last week.

“This is what happens with a strong, collaborative effort,” Retail Operations Manager Sheila Marano said. “Our employees have had a direct impact in generating new revenue for the Postal Service.”

Contest results and additional details are located on the Retail and Customer Service Operations Blue page.
