Reminder: Postal Service employees are the first line of defense to protect USPS information and resources from cyber threats.
When faced with an online threat such as a phishing attempt, employees should alert the CyberSecurity Operations Center (CSOC) by attaching the suspicious email to a new email.
Here’s how: Press the “Control,” “Alt” and “F” keys simultaneously to generate a new email message with the phishing email attached. Send the new email to the CSOC, and then delete the suspected phishing email.
To report suspected ransomware, malware and similar activities, employees should email a screenshot or description of the activity to the CSOC.
If a computer or mobile device is lost, misused or stolen, the stored information may be at risk. Immediately report the incident to your manager and the CSOC.
Also, be sure to include PS Form 1360, Information Security Incident Report, when submitting the report. You should also call the Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455.
