Opening soon

USPS employees can visit LiteBlue to learn more about their options during this year’s open season, which is Nov. 14-Dec. 12.

Open season, the annual period when Postal Service employees can change their health benefits or enroll in a new plan, begins Monday, Nov. 14.

A variety of health, vision and dental coverage is available through the following plans and programs:

  • Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHB)
  • USPS Health Benefits Plan (USPSHB) for non-career employees only
  • Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP)
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSAs)

“Open season is your opportunity to make sure you’re receiving the coverage you and your family need,” said PMG Megan J. Brennan. “The Postal Service encourages you to become an engaged, educated consumer during this important period.”

The Open Season LiteBlue site has information and resources to help you prepare, including FAQs, informational videos and a link to a comparison tool from Checkbook’s Guide to Health Plans.

Additional information will be provided throughout open season, which concludes Monday, Dec. 12.
