USPS employees can change their health benefits or enroll in a new plan during open season.

Open season, your once-a-year opportunity to make changes to your health coverage or choose a new plan, is Nov. 14-Dec. 12.

“The Postal Service encourages all employees to participate in this year’s open season,” said Chief Human Resources Officer Jeff Williamson. “Take the time to evaluate your health care needs and the coverage that best suits you.”

Employees can choose from a variety of health, vision and dental coverage options through the following programs and plans:

  • Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHB)
  • USPS Health Benefits Plan (USPSHB) for non-career employees only
  • Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP)
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSAs)

To review your plan and explore your options, log onto the Open Season LiteBlue site, which has FAQs, informational videos and a link to a comparison tool from Checkbook’s Guide to Health Plans.

To enroll or change coverage in FEHB or USPSHB, go to PostalEASE or call 877-477-3273 and select option 1. Additionally, some facilities offer self-service kiosks that allow you to change your coverage.

To enroll in an FSA, go to the FSAFEDS site or call 877-372-3337. The TTY number is 866-353-8058.

To enroll or make changes to your dental or vision coverage, go to the Benefeds site.

For assistance, call the HR Shared Service Center at 877-477-3273 and select option 5. The TTY number is 866-260-7507.
