The Postal Service is offering a video to help employees learn more about the advantages of high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) and health savings accounts (HSAs).
The 2-minute segment explains that an HDHP, combined with an HSA, can save employees money when compared to traditional plans.
HDHPs allow users to spend less on insurance premiums while building up funds in an HSA.
The video also highlights the tax advantages of using HSAs.
Additionally, the video notes employees who use HSAs can take the money they’ve saved with them if they switch from an HDHP to a more traditional plan.

Open season, the annual period when employees can make benefits changes, ends Dec. 12.
