A Postal Service employee in North Carolina is thanking a Combined Federal Campaign charity for helping her family grow.

Teresa Tingler, a Greensboro rural carrier, and her husband recently adopted two sons with help from Children’s Home Society (CHS), an organization that has placed more than 15,000 children into adoptive homes.

“Adoption is an ideal way to care for children in need, and CHS helped us every step of the way,” Tingler said.

Matt Anderson, CHS’s vice president of strategic advancement, said the organization focuses on placing foster children with the right family.

“We strive to prevent children from aging out in the foster system and assist in providing stable and suitable homes,” he said.

Tingler is now a three-time foster parent. She and her husband previously adopted another child.

“We have so much love to share,” Tingler said. “I encourage anyone with a heart for kids to consider adoption.”

CHS is one of more than 18,000 organizations that are participating in this year’s Combined Federal Campaign.

Some areas have extended the Dec. 15 contribution deadline. Employees should contact their local campaign manager for revised dates.
