The holiday spirit is in the air at the nation’s postal facilities, where employees are using creative displays to celebrate the season.
PMG Megan J. Brennan’s office in Washington, DC, showcases a magically postal Christmas tree decorated with Priority Mail boxes that symbolize a thriving package business.
Meanwhile, DPMG Ronald Stroman’s tree is decorated with stamp art, while Chief Operating Officer David Williams’ decor emphasizes the #PostalProud initiative and includes a purple hippopotamus similar to the one showcased in this year’s holiday TV campaign.
Other facilities are also getting into the spirit.
A smiling snowman made of Priority Mail boxes greets customers at the Minneapolis Main Post Office.
In Addy, WA, employees decorated their tree with calendar dates and gift boxes to remind customers to ship their packages early.
The Honolulu Main Post Office is operating Rudolph’s Express Shipping Shack, while the Bethlehem, PA, Post Office is turning heads with its giant blue mailbox that serves as a temporary retail station.
The holiday décor is benefitting employees too.
Carol Stream, IL, Processing and Distribution Center employees decorated a Christmas tree to brighten their workdays.
“This is peak season, so we want to uplift [employees’] spirits as they come to work,” said Operations Support Specialist Delora Hawkins.
