The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.13 percent during the week ending Dec. 23, down from the previous week.
Thirty-three districts and four areas met or exceeded the national average.
Hawkeye (98.4 percent) finished first among the districts, breaking Dakotas long streak at the top. Western (97.47 percent) again led the areas for the third straight week.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
