The Postal Service has released a video that shows highlights from the recent Mississippi Statehood stamp dedication.

The stamp celebrates Mississippi’s influence on blues music by showing musician Jimmy “Duck” Holmes’ hands playing a guitar.

“These hands represent all of the struggle and the joy and the music … and the hours of enjoyment and entertainment by those that are blues artists,” Gov. Phil Bryant says during the 1-minute, 46-second video.

The segment also features comments from Chief Customer and Marketing Officer Jim Cochrane, Mississippi District Manager Elizabeth Johnson, U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, photographer Lou Bopp, Holmes and Miss Mississippi Laura Lee Lewis.

The Mississippi Statehood stamp is available at Post Offices and usps.com.
