Ramela Younekian was thrilled when she heard USPS is giving employees more time to recruit business customers for this year’s National Postal Forum (NPF).

Younekian, marketing manager for Pacific Area’s Sierra Coastal District, and her team had already registered several business customers to attend the NPF. Now that the deadline has been extended until May 12, the team has time to close several pending registrations.

“We’ve been very successful, but we’re not finished yet,” Younekian said.

NPF, the mailing industry’s largest annual conference, will be held May 21-24 in Baltimore.

Through its Employee Customer Recruitment Program, the Postal Service wants to help more business customers experience the benefits of attending NPF, which features educational seminars, networking opportunities and more.

The program allows employees to earn complimentary registrations to NPF when they recruit new customers. Managers also can earn complimentary registrations through the efforts of their teams.

Because Younekian’s team has registered 15 new customers so far, she will receive a complimentary registration and join her employees and other colleagues at the event.

“My advice to other managers would be to encourage your employees to participate in this program,” Younekian said. “It’s definitely worth the effort.”
