Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.8 percent during the week ending May 12, up from one week earlier.
Dakotas (99.16 percent) topped the districts, while Western (98.17 percent) led the areas.

Flag reminder. Armed Forces Day, which honors men and women who served in the U.S. military, is Saturday, May 20.
Postal facilities that are open this day are required to fly the POW-MIA flag, which honors the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces held as prisoners of war or listed as missing in action.
The POW-MIA flag must fly below the U.S. flag.
The Postal Service offers online guidelines for U.S. flag display and maintenance, as well as requirements for displaying the POW-MIA flag.
Play it safe. The CyberSafe at USPS team is reminding employees protect themselves when using public Wi-Fi.
To safeguard personal information, avoid logging into accounts that require sensitive information, such as bank or credit card accounts, on public Wi-Fi networks.
You should only use the Virtual Private Network (VPN) to connect to the postal network, and you should turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices when not in use.
Also, avoid using apps, use secure sites with “HTTPS” in the web address, and always log out of accounts when finished.
